An Amazing Ride
This has been a true community gathering for the fauns. Without your support, none of this could be possible. We are nearing the last 24 hours before we begin to be on your time.
Workflow
We have the female mold to do, and the centaur. If funding allows (15K) mark, I would like to get the next 3x4 up to vary up the fauns, but we will see how that goes.
The Gist
Each mold needs the list of files we want to throw on the sprue, contractor for the molder lays out, molder calibrates and CNC gets to work. Eventually the mold is treated, and we have test shots. The molder will give us photos of the work as available. This part of the job can still take a few months, so hang tight. If done faster, awesome!
During this wait, Tim and the sculptor team are activated to finish up the remainder of the tasks, which at the moment are,

- 2 Minotaurs - Interchangeable weapons
- Sci Fi Gun Poses
Before the kickstarter, me and Tim have gone over each faun part, and created new ones in light of your inspiring requests. Shields are ready, and centaurs have been touched on.
If the 3x4 is activated, we need to reorient a few left handed weapons from the right side, and create two new faun torsos. One of the torsos we adapted from previously arranged files. I would really like to see this come forward, simply to give everybody more variety.

Quick Update on Minotaur and Female Faun

Minotaur
Based on the feedback we got on the Minotaur, there are some of you folks who would like to see some alternative weapon choices enabled. Tim caught wind, a quick solution is to create an attachment system to interchange weapons. So if you're not feeling a blade, but instead, an axe, that will be enabled. Also another note, the shield is optional to use.
Female Faun With Clothes
Tim has started crafting a modification to one of the female torsos to showcase what we will do in regards to the engineering of the model. As a heads up, we are enabling a breast depiction. Tastefully considered, but completely optional to those who do not want to use it. The torso is also being synced so the parts can be used for it, without a major fuss. Tim should have that done soon.
Please bear with me, as this is attempting to be one of our more ambitious conversions.
At 15k the 3x4 is enabled. Some of you folks have expressed great desire to be able to fully put together the models without having to resort to foraging off the other base sprues. We may drop one, focus on three cool torso combos, and use the space to flesh them out. Ideally working with a 6x4 is preferable, but I wanted to increase the range of individual fauns standing out.
15K Update, Last Week! 3x4 sprue

At 10k, we decided to unlock centaurs and a female 6 x 4 mold. I would still like to see the faun sprue rounded out, so we will be doing one last unlock in celebration of the final week.
If we raise 15k, we will create a 3x4 frame to unlock a torso upgrade sprue. To imagine this, cut our 6x4 in half here and you will get an idea of what we can squeeze in. In theory we should be able to do 4 bodies, and perhaps enough for a row of hand weapons. At 20k we wanted to do something that encompassed more parts, but sometimes you make due!
By unlocking the shield upgrade pack for the base pledges, we can then free up space on the shields, so we can focus heavily on varying up your fauns. I had considered a banner, but I think I can come up with back up ways for that.

And, as for the row of weapons....many of you have asked to see if we can make left handed versions. According to Tim, we can reorient weapon grip sides with the current sculps made. Perhaps that will let you fill out some dual wielders?
And note, we are taking bare skin concepts to heart. Our plan would be to update you on how we address the engineering.

Short and sweet 5/31

Apologies for the delay, we were waiting for a better time to show you the update on the minotaur. The concept here was to take a different starting approach with the Minotaur. Many of you wanted a feral/unarmored looking minotaur ready to cause havoc. So the set up we arranged for was a shield and rhomphaia combo.
The focus of a rhomphaia is to give the user a compact way to fight infantry in close quarters, while giving it a chopping edge. In a minotaurs hands, I expect you could understand why this would be an interesting mix.
Me and Tim already discussed the weight of the model. He is balanced in the middle, and should pose little trouble if you want him to stand properly. The model is scaled to about 40mm at the moment.
We will eventually get two more up, the next two will try scale mail patterns.

13K Add On, and Updates to Main Page

Spent the better part of a few hours going over and laying out the page more fluidly. Cutting out clutter and attempted to get to the heart of the matter in regards to ideas, unlocking, and goals within our reach. If there is some confusion still lurking, please, let me know. I am happy to help anyone.
What is up today
In connection with rendering a new faun torso, Tim decided to do one more shield in connection to the shield kit. We announced the bark shield, below is the Thracian shield.
We recently announced at 12k we would add shield packs to the Army in a Box, so at 13K we will add a shield pack to all base faun sets. You will also have your choice of splitting up the choices into all of one, or a mixture of three shields.
- Base pledge= 10 shields
- Warparty=20 shields
- Army in a box=40 shields
Shields will be arranged in packs of five. If you want ten of one type, you will get two packs of five. You can choose from the bark shield, the thracian shield or the original wicker shield.
Pitching in together will help cover the extra pewter costs.
