Pewter at the office

DHL dropped off pewter to state side, good craftsmanship!

Alright, shipping plans in.

Short and sweet, we've booked passage for the pewter and the plastics. After speaking with our booking agents, we finally broke it down into a cost effective package of plastic in boat, and pewter via courier DHL.

The boat for the plastics is estimated to arrive early May, with some time to ship it to the west coast. By then the pewter should be sorted for a pack and pull.

The pewter still has to wait in line in Hong Kong, but the stuff is moving, and should get here long before the plastic run.

Air Freight Price Surges
about 6 years ago – Thu, Mar 19, 2020 at 01:20:52 AM

Hello everyone, Corona is having a bit of fun with us. We got news regarding the shipping, and we ran into a snag. With planes effectively being grounded with the border closures, the available planes to fly cargo have been outpaced by the demand of delivery, causing a steep rise in costs (300% more in fact). Plan B is now being taken, and that is to consolidate the pewter and plastic to the boating method.

According to the customs brokers on the ground, the best price to delivery time right now will be with the boats. This has upsides and downsides. The upside is that the packages can be set up for delivery, the issue is that the boat method is month longer in comparison to freight.

The original plan was to plan for freight, have the products shipped in 7-10 days to the warehouses, and though it can be costly, costs in assumption would have been justified for the turn around (who doesn't want their loot?). But with the new price on the table, it just doesnt make sense to do it.

So, feeling like an ass, I apologize for getting everyone's hopes up. It was looking good, until the planes started being grounded in abundance of caution.

I am working to get the packing lists over the brokers to plan some reroutes in the mean time, and seeing if we can get them into the Seattle/Tacoma port (or as close to).

Thank you for any understanding, as always feel free to send any inquiries here or to [email protected]

Some of the requested sculpts for the Satyrs
about 6 years ago – Fri, Mar 13, 2020 at 10:49:43 PM

So along with the ants, we wanted to flesh out the Satyrs due the interest in the sculpts in plastic. The big chief complaint was that the zulu vibe didn't agree with some folks, so we decided to add onto the creature with some personalized vibes. Those with a canny eye will notice this borrows from some of our earlier concepts, but Tim Barry really brought these to life. First up is the standard (an arm attachment will be worked on), the second a hammer and pick to keep up the ununiform band (plus smashee smashee) lastly a new celt style shield (reminiscent of the naked mercenaries of gaul). In terms of order, the Satyr has more parts complete, so will be first up while we devise some good marketing for the ants, and strengthen some core parts.
