Andy Zeck was busy during the weekend. He set up the Satyr 3D print, and sized up the centaur against a roman model for comparison to cavalry. Pictures below. 

Also, deadline approaching. Anyone needing to add anything more to their pledges have until October. Technically no action is required on your part if you're content where you're at. Backerkit will auto charge beginning of October. 

While the plastic is being tinkered, we need to start giving rough numbers to the molders and pewter producers. This is basically the phase of: throw money at the problem, and arrange for the product to be sent over for shipping. 

I'm really hoping to get this done for the holidays, but we will have to see. Most importantly, we need to be sure its done way before February otherwise we are sitting on Chinese new year (vacation time). 

Once the deadline hits, we will be attempting to offer some retail preorders for the upcoming release, so they are dispatched around the same time. Backers first priority of course. Meaning, best deals will be now if they are to be had. 

Anyhoo, hopefully fall will be a good time for hobbying and painting after a hot summer. Take care everyone! 

Misc update Sling preview

Jason used some of the old sculpts with this, but the premise is about the same. We asked him to create a pose with the slings for both the action and neutral resting body types. These should adapt well to the existing parts on the sprue. Ill test it out once I have the files.

Highlights in August:

• Female molds still in refinement, nearly complete.  
• Centaur mold in planning phase. Parts confirmer proposing an alternative attachment point for the two handed weapon combo. Investigating the option. Right now the part is a flat attachment point for the weapon heads, as opposed to a peg system. 
• Jason Burns, the original faun sculptor, is nearing the first pictures of the fauns with sling attachments
• The two 3x4 molds for the combo and centaur are being consolidated into one piece. After trying to work our the best of both worlds, it was the best option to combine the best of the centaur parts, and some of the best infantry options, like centaur heads, torsos, and dual wielding weapons. This consolidation caused an error to sort out for those looking to get the combo sprue by itself. So those adding combo sprues, we will be supplementing the sprues with pewter legs to fill out the faun choices. Those only in for centaurs will get the sprue as is. This will save some time and resources. If you need any changes from me, I will be happy to adjust any backerkit logs. 
• Centaur frames can be used by themselves independently, but can be greatly enhanced with leftover faun parts, such as heads, bows, and torsos.  
• Work log contains two minotaurs, the faun legs, and space rifles and we will be done and ready to get materials started.
• Andy Zeck has painted up a centaur 3D print for us, showing how the parts can work together. This is one of two new centaur heads, and the muscle cuirass. Also, Andy has graciously offered to size up the centaurs vs other brands at his disposal over the weekend. See below for image references.  

We had some delays this month, so it felt kinda slow. I consolidated the weekly post to a monthly but I like everyone to know we are still going on strong. Thanks for the support.

Centaur 3D Prints and Weapon Heads

I thought folks would like to see 3D prints of the centaur horse this week. There are four of the poses to look forward to, and down below that are weapon head renders. Idea would be to enable the weapon heads to be swapped out on the rod for the centaur.
