7/19 Centaurs and Bonus Sprue

Nothing too crazy this week, but we are chugging along in getting weapon poses figured out. Centaurs below have the rod and attached axe head. I would like to see the rod length to verify if we need to tweak it, let me know if you're feeling the same.
Below the centaur are mirrored copies of the axe and hook sword. The axe was mildly tweaked upward in this case.
Satyr and shield prints have finally hit the pewter molder!

Centaurs
Despite a hectic week, Tim has continued to kick butt and we are here to show some fruits from his labor. The 3x4 sprue needed four halves to complete two centaurs on a sprue, but instead of two poses, Tim enabled it so you can take a left side and attach it to up to two right sides, and vice versa for the second left side, creating four poses.
Below is a mock up of the parts together.
Tim also created two centaur heads, in case you're feeling truer to centaurs without horned heads.
3D prints soon.
Female Mold
Last spot to be filled is the shoulder pad in the top right. Thracian shield and bark shield in place of the wicker. Shofar raised to the mouth. Bow hand drawing backwards for an arrow, and bow to compliment. Deposit is paid, so we should see this in the coming weeks when it is finalized.
7/5 Happy Late 4th of July

Well, enjoyed the fourth of July (or National Treason Day for others abroad). Had both an impromptu air show from the backyard and a harbor fireworks spectacle. But more importantly, this weeks update on progress.
This Week
Not much going on this week, we had confirmation back on 3D prints to help us set up for the shield and satyr packs, but we are investigating as some of the parts look "off" for a print. It occasionally does happen, the last time we had this happen was during the male shaman molding sometime back, where the arm got inverted for the hand drum. So hoping to get some better angled photos and prints (takes about 2 days to redo).
I say this is really off because we have small parts that look stretched or gigantic. I know this is for the satyr, but even they were never that well endowed.
Ironically the arm parts, tails, heads and weapons look fine.
Centaurs
Tim was borrowing ideas from the wargames factory days when they did horses. We did a slight tweak to make 4 poses a reality with just two left and right halves. A change that had to occur was the slight merge of a base for the centaur. Done mainly as a stabilizer.
Tim is also attempting an incredibly difficult 2H connection in line of draft, so he's hoping to make you proud soon.
Female Mold
After finding out we were waiting in line, the factory finally got back to us to confirm parts and details for the plans. That should be going under the metal tooling soon.
This month the idea is still to get the plastic products wrapped up and sent out for plotting, so pewter can continue.
Backerkit Confusion
Not everyone had it, but I caused some confusion that made the add ons a tricky thing. Those who backed the kickstarter, with odd increments for add ons, the backerkit survey will take your pledge level, and any excess can be used toward add ons. So instead of the notes part in the first survey, just use the add ons. The issue that comes up is that it triggers weight costs.
Feel free to contact us at [email protected], and we will adjust shipping accordingly via credits if you feel the amount is high for the weight.
So far the questions are at a reasonable level. We've handled each one as it has come in.
I hope your weekend is fun, and I look forward to more updates for you,
Robert
Shipping Query

Hey folks, one quick post tonight to help those planning add ons and shipping costs.
The picture below is added on top of the pledge costs, which start at 10 (US), 20 (EU) and $30 (AUS/NZ).
The common question query has so far come from the EU. Essentially, we are trying to keep costs for shipping reasonable for the distance. The base pledges are under costed shipping wise as part of our EU friendly guarantee. In addition, we also agreed to pay customs ahead, so you could deal with less hassle. So while adding costs can seem expensive, please know there is a hidden benefit that doesn't immediately come out. I hope the table is useful for you.
Based on the numbers I saw, it made much more sense to centralize in the US, with about 60% or so accounted.
Why does the price jump dramatically for a small add on?
We have a preorder store up that treats the items like one off packages. The columns basically interact with each other. For those not adding things, it works out perfectly, for those adding things we get close to a true weight. But, if you feel it is not right, part of my job here is customer service.
[email protected]
I am answering questions daily, and I am happy to help sort any messes out. Backerkit has a nice central database to make changes from. I can make notes, adjust costs, and I can even resend survey links.
Hope I can be of help, until then, take care!
